I was just told the October 14 Aprile Millo Carnegie Hall concert has
been canceled. Anybody know why? Although, with these nutty divas,
who knows what the real reason is. JAG

All I know at this point was that it was NOT Aprile who canceled the
concert. I spoke to her late last night, and she was telling about the
gowns she planned to wear. When I find out what happened I will let you
know.

She is also singing the complete Le Villi at Carnegie on Jan. 30 along
with the last act of Turandot, as Turandot, with the Berio ending. Her
tenor colleague in both is Franco Farina.

I don't know if this ever happens in NYC, but here in Boston scheduled
concerts are occasionally cancelled when tickets are selling poorly.
This happened to a Hampson recital a couple of years ago.

Hampson would have done better to have rented the porta potty the opera
clown uses to cackle in. He would have sold that out. JAG

What in the hell was Millo thinking, hiring a pop/rock promoter to
handle this concert? Is she completely out to lunch? JAG
